Medics on the move I and II. It’s about advanced language support using smartphones for health professionals who do not speak the mother tongue: “MoM is a tool that gives you the words and shows you how to say them in meaningful, professional contexts”. The target group is health professionals in Europe who moved to a new country.
FLUENT. This EU project was the forerunner to Medics on the Move, but based on CD technology (MoM: Internet) and was more generally focused on learning European languages.

Rwanda – Capacity building for higher education. Team leader for Instructional design “Research Supporting Component, Co-operation in Instructional Technology (ICT in Education)”. Long term strategic investment by Sida, 4 years + 5 years. The aim is to increase ICT skills and capacity for Rwanda’s higher education. It includes 1) Doctoral students, 2) Training of IT Educational Support Staff (Facilitators), 3) ICT Infrastructure for Teaching and Supervision, and 4) Research Collaboration.

ICT and Pedagogical Development – Advanced International Training Program (ITP – change projects). This project is aimed at key people in 12 developing countries: Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Cambodia, Kosovo, Bolivia, Ethiopia, Liberia, Rwanda, Sierra Leone, Tanzania, Uganda and Zimbabwe. The program is open to other developing countries, participants from North Korea, India, South Africa and Uruguay have participated.

IADB. Methodology study of how to evaluate “one-laptop per child” for The Inter-American Development Bank with field study in Uruguay. This work has led to long-term cooperation with Uruguay (participants in the ITP program, research, course development) and to several studies on OLPC and conference contributions, debates.
